About Katherine E. Currie

Katherine E. Currie joined Becker & Hebert, LLC in 2016 and is licensed to practice law in the state of Louisiana. She is a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi (B.A. 2012 magna cum laude) and The University of Mississippi School of Law (J.D. 2015).

While in law school, Ms. Currie served as the Chair of the Trial Advocacy Board, Coach of the University of Mississippi Undergraduate Mock Trial Team, Secretary of the Law Association for Women and Mentoring Chair of the Dean’s Leadership Council. She also assisted clients in the Child Advocacy Civil Legal Clinic, Street Law Civil Legal Clinic and as a volunteer for North Mississippi Rural Legal Services.

Ms. Currie was admitted to the Louisiana bar in 2015.  Her practice focuses primarily on business transactions and litigation, residential and commercial real estate transactions and commercial law. Ms. Currie is an active member of the Lafayette Bar Association, serving on the Board of Directors of the Young Lawyers Section since 2015 and the Editorial Committee of The Promulgator since 2018.  She is a proud Big Sister and also serves on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana as the Secretary.  Additionally, Ms. Currie is a member of the Acadiana Inn of Court and the Junior League of Lafayette
